Its major ac vi es were construc on equipment plant hire, bulk earthworks, road construc on and asphal c concrete paving. In May 2012, the en re shareholding in the company was acquired by Messers Joseph Mwewa, Philippus Cronje and Jared Musonda, all three Civil Engineers with a combined experience in the construc on and civil engineering industry spanning over 60 years. Following its acquisi on, the new shareholders, immediately embarked on restructuring the company, inter- alia, by successfully applying for and being granted the status by NCC as a Grade 1 contractor in the Roads & Earthworks category. The focus of ARZ shi ed from being primarily a sub-contractor and equipment hirer to large contractors to becoming a fully-fledged civil engineering firm with the aim of becoming the premier Zambian owned civil engineering contractor with opera ons through-out Zambia and neighbouring countries within the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Further, it is ARZ’s philosophy that at the concep on of each project, the company assigns a qualified Project Manager to oversee, direct and manage the project through to final comple on. This approach ensures a single point-of-contact for the client and sub-contractors, facilita ng open communica on, crea ve problem solving and project manager accountability. From an extensive inventory of equipment to a staff of dedicated and experienced professionals, ARZ uses state of the art methods to achieve excellence on every project.
